“ANDREA,” a 28-foot Uniflite, run by Captain Orlando and Mate Brian, two well-known crew members of the Pisces fleet, was chosen by Darin Keim and Matt Sutciffe from Laurie, Missouri, to be their guides for the day. They chose wisely as they caught and released two 90 to 100-pound Striped Marlin on mackerel and a yellow lure, and four 10 to 15-pound Dorado on feathers at the Migrano. The catches highlighted the skill of both the crew and the anglers.
While on the “VALERIE,” a 35-foot Bertram, Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Salvador Flores were guiding a larger group from Arlington, Texas. Andy Osteen, Christopher Engle, Dell Brown, Harley Dedman, Melissa Dedman, and Monte Cales were happy anglers. They were catching TWENTY-TWO Yellowfin Tuna weighing from around 8 to 30 pounds on feathers and bait at Punta Gorda. What a day it was! While not large, the tuna were fighters, and the anglers were exhausted by the time they had fought all the fish.
