From exciting Blue Marlin battles to Giant Yellowfin Tuna, to the delicate art of inshore fishing, the Cabo scene proved itself a haven for fishing adventures this week. Each boat, whether large or small, carried its own stories of camaraderie, skill, and triumph back to the docks, leaving the anglers exhilarated and hungry for the next expedition.
As the week ended, the waters around Cabo continued to offer excitement and variety for anglers of all skill levels, and not just in one area, but in multiple fishing spots and banks. Each boat and crew in the Pisces Fleet, whether large or small, made a name for itself and, in doing so, made the name Pisces a legend as well.

Rudy Stine and Zachary Stine, guided by the seasoned Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Super Mario, chose the “VALERIE,” a 35-foot Bertram. The anglers caught seven Yellowfin Tuna weighing up to 15 pounds on bait and feathers just outside the Lighthouse. The expertise of the crew ensured a successful and enjoyable fishing experience.
Don Swantz, Jim Kontota, and Kent Seymour from Michigan had an eventful day on the 31-foot Bertram, the “TRACY ANN,” with Captain Jefe and Mate Raul Leal. They caught Twenty-Five Sierra on cuchi, One Grouper, Seven Ladyfish, and One Triggerfish on chum, with all taken at the Migrino.The diverse catch added an extra element of excitement to their shared sense of adventure.
“VALERIE,” a 35-foot Bertram, with Captain Roberto Sandez and Mate Mario, enjoyed fishing with the group from Boulder, Colorado, Greg McCullough, Gunnar McCullough, Meier McCullough, and Traci McCullough, who were full of fun and enthusiasm. They caught ten Yellowfin Tuna up to 15 pounds on bait outside the Hard Rock.

The water was alive with Yellowfin as the “ANDREA,” a 28-foot Uniflite, with Captain Fernando Noyola and Mate Mario, ran to the Gasparino, where their anglers Brian Lowell and Carolyn Gress caught thirteen Yellowfin Tuna weighing up to 15 pounds on bait and feathers. Although they were tired, they were pleased with their successful day!

P Kim and Mason Fleming, from California, joined Captain Carmelo with Mates Brian and Carlos on the “EL CAZADOR,” a 29-foot Black Fin as they headed out to the Lighthouse in search of big game, tuna, and marlin. Immediately, as they neared the Lighthouse, a 100-pound Striped Marlin bit the blue and white lure they were trolling, which they caught and released to begin their trip on a high note. Next, they headed to the Cerros Arena, where they caught four Yellowfin Tuna from 10 to 12 pounds on bait and feathers. They had such an enjoyable day.

From Seminole, Texas, Makenna Miller and Rusty Miller chose the “REBECCA,” a 31-foot Bertram, as their fishing platform on Sunday. Their efforts yielded one catch and release of a 130-pound Striped Marlin and three Yellowfin Tuna on bait, at the Cerros de Arena. The group returned to the marina with broad smiles and stories of their catches that they will tell for years to come.

On the “LA BRISA,” a 31-foot Bertram, Captain Ray Winkler and Mate Jesus Winkler ran to the Los Arcos where their sole angler, Clinton Beall, caught five Yellowfin Tuna on feathers and bait, and two Skipjack on feathers. And in the meantime, the waters of Baja continue to offer excitement and variety for anglers of all skill levels.

Alejandra Tames, Missy Miller, Stefan McCoy, Tim McCoy, and Tim McCoy, Jr., chartered the “RUTHLESS,” a 31-foot Bertram run by the excellent Captain Beto Lira and the outstanding Mate Chuy Romero. The anglers caught one Dorado on feathers and three Yellowfin Tuna on bait at the Los Arcos.

BOAT REEL PRIMO, a 38-foot “BACK-UP” BOAT With Captain Pepe and Mate Marcos. They ran to the San Jaime Bank, where their anglers, James McLaughlin, Reagan McLaughlin, Ruby McLaughlin, and Spencer McLaughlin from Lago Vista, Texas, caught two Dorado on lures, and then on to the Lighthouse, where they caught five Yellowfin Tuna up to 15 pounds on lures.

And on the “FRIDAY BANK,” a 66-foot Viking, Captain Alex and Mates Beto and Saul had one of the best days they had had this season. They took a single angler with them from California, Guy Howard Evans, who caught two Yellowfin Tuna. However, in the middle of his disappointment over his small tuna, he caught one Blue Marlin weighing around 150 pounds, another weighing 250 pounds, and yet another weighing somewhere in between. He caught and released three Blue Marlin in one day! He had his fill of fighting Blue Marlin on that day!
The allure of the sea remained irresistible to a group from Illinois, even if they could only fish HALF A DAY with Captain Abel and Mate Ninja, on the “RIPPER,” a35-foot Cabo Flybridge. It paid off for Calvina Hussa, Harrison Hussa, Molly Hussa, Robert Hussa III, and Robert Hussa Jr. when they caught and released one 100-pound Striped Marlin with a skipjack as bait outside the Del Cerro, two Yellowfin Tuna on bait, and six Skipjack on feathers. It was still an unforgettable adventure!
On the “HOT ROD,” a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge, Captain Erick Orozco and Mate Hot Rod Jose Ramiro Ramirez ran to the outside of the del Cerro where they found one nice Dorado on a sardina, two Skipjack on bait at the Barco Varado, and one Yellowfin Tuna on bait in front of the Barco Varado for their anglers from California, Bentley Burke, Holly DeJulia, Jaxson Burke, Kennedy DeJulia, Kenzie DeJulia, Mason Burke, and Sean DeJulia.

Embarking on their fishing trip on the “BBII,” a 37-foot Viking Billfish 2018, Captain Hector and Mate Gil decided to try the 1150 Spot for their anglers, Brad Robinson and Presli Robinson, on Wednesday. As they headed to the hotspot, they were excited to hook one Blue Marlin weighing from 250 to 280 pounds! It put up quite a battle, but was worth every moment, and the Robinsons returned to the dock very excited with great photos of their treasure.

p On Thursday, the captains navigated to different fishing spots to uncover bounty for their clients. The “KNOT WORKIN,” a 35-foot Cabo Flybridge, captained by Abraham with Mate Cesar, welcomed Eagle, Idaho guests, Craig Peterson, Jaxon Bates, and Nate Lafollette on board before heading to the 95 Spot to fish for Yellowfin Tuna. The anglers hit the jackpot when they caught eight Yellowfin Tuna weighing from 15 to 86 pounds, the biggest tuna caught in the area that week, until…
One of the most remarkable catches of the week, the”MY WAY,” a 48-foot Viking, with Captain Arturo and Mates Daniel and Josue, headed to the 120 Spot with their group, Ashley McCraney, Bryan Brown, Cody Nguyen, Matt Lafon. Philias Daka and Sean caught an even larger Yellowfin Tuna. They had gotten only 30 miles out to the 120 Spot when they hooked two Yellowfin Tuna on bait, one — a 62-pounder, but the other — a 190-pounder.
From Yantis, Texas, Chanston Woods, Ginger Woods, Holly Nolan Phillips, and Otto Steven Phillips chose the “RUTHLESS,” a 31-foot Bertram, run by Captain Beto Lira, and Mate Chuy Romero. They ran to the Cabrillo. Their anglers caught and released two 120 to 140-pound Striped Marlin on a lure and caballito.
