Pisces Sportfishing delivered an exceptional week on the water, marked by calm seas, clear skies, and a remarkable diversity of species caught both offshore and inshore. Across the fleet, captains and crews demonstrated outstanding professionalism, skill, and dedication, providing anglers with memorable experiences and impressive results. Over the course of the week, clients landed or released Swordfish, Striped Marlin, Dorado, Caballito, Ladyfish, Roosterfish, Sierra, Skipjack, Triggerfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Sheepshead, Snapper, and Wahoo—an unusually broad range of species for a single reporting period. The following is a detailed account of each day’s activity.
Friday, February 27, 2026
Conditions: Clear skies; calm seas; 4–5 ft. waves; 6 mph wind; water 69–75°F; air 76–79°F.

The 35-foot Cabo Flybridge Ripper, captained by Juan with Mate Ramon, produced one of the week’s standout catches. Angler Mark Chiavetta of Los Gatos, California, landed a rare 140‑pound Swordfish—an uncommon catch in local waters—along with a 110‑pound Striped Marlin release and three Dorado weighing 30–35 pounds. All fish were taken on ballyhoo at the 95 Spot.

The 31-foot Bertram Tiburón, captained by Rosendo Gomez with Mate Carlos Santos, also reported success. Grant and Sean Smith of Wilsonville, Oregon, released a Striped Marlin estimated at 110–120 pounds on ballyhoo at the 1150 Spot.

Boe and Terrie Bland of Harmon, Utah, fished aboard the 31-foot Bertram Rebecca with Captain Jose Ramon and Mate Alucano Marcelo. Fishing outside the 1150 Spot, they landed three Dorado weighing 20–25 pounds on ballyhoo.

The 24-foot Anamar II, captained by Alvaro, reported a productive inshore outing at Rancho San Lucas. Anglers Harrison Kissinger and Mariah Cuneo of Tarpon Springs, Florida, caught four Sierra (3–4 pounds), one Roosterfish (8–10 pounds) on Lisa, and four Triggerfish (1–2 pounds) on chum.

The 35-foot Cabo Flybridge Bill Collector 4, captained by Jean Carlo Lopez, fished the 1150 Spot with anglers Chris Crespi and John Redner of Waterford, Michigan. They landed two Dorado weighing 15–18 pounds on ballyhoo.

Meanwhile, Bill Collector 2, captained by Abel with Mate Ninja, fished the Herradura with anglers Chris Shuck, Dale and Dixie Schliep, and James Shuck of Edgar, Nebraska. Their day included a Striped Marlin release (100–120 pounds), six Yellowfin Tuna up to 40 pounds on kites and lures, and one Skipjack.

Bill Collector 4 returned to the 1150 Spot with the same anglers from the previous day, again landing two Dorado in the 15–18‑pound range on ballyhoo.

The 28-foot Uniflite Adriana, captained by Orlando with Mate Arturo, reported an active day at Migriño. Angler Teri DuBose of Chico, California, landed eleven Sierra weighing 2–3 pounds using cuchi and Rapala lures.
Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Conditions: Clear skies; calm seas; 4–5 ft. waves; 4 mph wind; water 72°F; air 74–78°F.

The 37-foot Viking Billfish BBII, captained by Hector with Mates Gil and Lalo, fished the 150 Spot, 25 miles offshore. Anglers Paulo Trettenero, Sean Kennedy, and Spencer Griffin of British Columbia released three Striped Marlin weighing 120–140 pounds on ballyhoo and landed three Dorado (15–25 pounds) on trolled lures.
The 64-foot Viking La Chingona 2, captained by Toño with Mate Miguel, also fished the 150 Spot. Anglers Caden, Carrington, Charles, and Laura Honea, along with Sofia Zollo of Trophy Club, Texas, landed an impressive twenty‑two Yellowfin Tuna weighing 8–40 pounds using both bait and trolling methods.

The 28-foot Uniflite Andrea, captained by Chuy Romero with Mate Brian, fished Casita Blanca with anglers Dan Reddick, Glen Tonack, Julie Antonietti, and Lanea Tonack of Belgrade, Montana. Their mixed‑species catch included two Roosterfish (12–20 pounds), five Ladyfish (1–2 pounds), eight Red Snapper (1–2 pounds), and three Sheepshead (1–4 pounds), all taken on chum or caballito.

The 48-foot Viking My Way, captained by Pepe with Mates Daniel and Josue, fished 35 miles offshore at the 200 Spot. Anglers from Tomahawk, Wisconsin—Emily and Lucha Valliere, Gracie Eberl, Ian Valliere, Jeremy and Jeren Ostrowski, Kelly Ostrowski, and Shiloh Valliere—released four Striped Marlin (100–120 pounds), landed a 40‑pound Dorado on ballyhoo, and caught two Wahoo (30–40 pounds) on Rapala lures.

The 66-foot Viking Friday Bank, captained by Alex with crew Saul and Beto, fished the 1150 Spot. Angler Guy Howard Evans of California landed six Yellowfin Tuna weighing 10–15 pounds on the troll.
The 42-foot Cabo Flybridge Hot Rod, captained by Erick Orozco with crew members Hot Rod Jose and Ramiro Ramirez, fished the Herradura. Anglers Carter Beswick, Jaden Goodman, Jake Iwai, and Zack Kolm landed two Dorado weighing 15–20 pounds on ballyhoo and lures.
