The waters have been nearly perfect, with calm seas and temperatures ranging from mid-60 to mid-70°F. Our Pisces Fleet anglers had a fantastic week, with each boat landing at least two Striped Marlin. However, some boats outdid themselves, with one boat catching double and even triple that number, along with a whopping 259.5-pound Swordfish, the first of the season, around 50 Yellowfin Tuna, several Yellowtail, a Hammerhead Shark, a dozen or more Roosterfish, Bonito, and more. The diverse range of fish kept the anglers intrigued and excited, making it a memorable fishing experience.
The fishing season is in full swing, and our boats are in high demand, with reservations filling up fast. If you don’t want to miss out on the thrill of a Pisces Fleet fishing trip, we recommend securing your reservation as soon as possible!

The ‘VALERIE,‘ a 35-foot Bertram, with the experienced Captain Jr. and skilled Mate Jose, took Cory Wilkerson, Eli Jimenez, Jared Jimenez, and Jessica Jimenez to the 1150 Spot. The crew’s knowledge of the area and fish was evident as they expertly guided the anglers to catch and release five Striped Marlin in the 80 to 100-pound range on bait, plus a wahoo and dorado. Their guidance was a testament to the crew’s expertise and skill, and the anglers knew they were in good hands.

Captain Lopez and Mate Martinez, running the “BILL COLLECTOR II,” a 31-foot Bertram, continued to find marlin at the 1150 Spot. They took their West Palm Beach, FL guests, Adam Schaefer and Alex Corrow, to that location where they caught and released three 100 to 140-pound Striped Marlin on ballyhoo. They had heard of the larger marlin caught in Baja and were excited to have caught, not only one, not two, but three! It was quite a great day!
“LA CHINGONA,” a 64-foot Viking run by Captain TOÑO and mates, ran to the Loreto Spot, where Captain Antonio Bojorquez caught five Yellowtail from 15 to 30 pounds on mackerel.
Anglers from Reno, Nevada, chartered the ‘CHASIN TAIL,’ with the experienced Captain Pepe De La PEÑA and skilled Mates Hamo and Ulises. The captain’s decision to head straight for the 1150 Bank, where boats had successfully caught marlin over the last few days, paid off immediately. The anglers began catching and releasing Striped Marlin, and four Striped Marlin were released by the end of the day. It was a testament to the crew’s expertise and the thrill of fishing. They also caught 35 Yellowfin Tuna weighing up to 18 pounds, 45 miles outside the 95/1150 Spot. It was an excellent day, inspiring others to book their fishing trip.

P Alfredo Gomez, Andrew Gomez, Dardan Salihu, Derrick Bruno, Driton Salihu, and Fredrick Bethea Quinton from Peak, TX, felt an immediate camaraderie with Captain Alex and Mates Saul, Roberto, and Juanito. When boarding the “FRIDAY BANK,” a 66-foot Viking, they felt the Captain and Mates were genuine in their efforts to ensure they enjoyed their day of fishing. They stayed busy catching and releasing two Striped Marlin on bait and ten Yellowfin Tuna from 10 to 15 pounds, also on bait, around 40 miles to the 150.

Daniel Curtin, Nicole Curtin, and Raymond Bennett from Coburg, Oregon, had a stroke of luck when they chose the 28-foot Uniflite, the “ADRIANA,” with the highly skilled Captain Frank and Mate Arturo. Their day took an exhilarating turn when they hooked and landed a massive 259.5-pound Swordfish at the 1150 Spot. The entire crew and anglers were on the edge of their seats as they battled this formidable opponent, a testament to the thrill of fishing.
The crew of the “TIBURON,” a 31-foot Bertram, Captain Rosendo Gomez and Mate Mario, enjoyed the company of the Palm City, FL group, Brooks Robertson, Michael Robertson, Michael Robertson II, and Mike Robertson. They, in turn, enjoyed fishing with the captain and mate of the “TIBURON.” First, they headed to the 1150 Spot, where they caught and released one Striped Marlin on bait. Then they headed to the Solmar Spot, where they found Roosterfish. They caught and released eight 12 to 15-pound Roosterfish on bait, and watching the unusual creatures streak through the water with their combs in the air was a pleasure.

STA MARIA Panga – “Tres Amigos,” a 27-foot panga with Captain Francisco (the Legend), has been fishing his whole life, but professionally for about 26 years. He is always ready to go after whatever target species his angler desires, and he has an excellent success rate. His clients, Josh Welsh, Matt Boomer, and Paul Kaup, from Maryland, came to Cabo to catch fish of any kind! And they did. They caught eight Bonito on jigs at Chileno and Santa Maria, one 20-pound Grouper, and one 15-pound Hammerhead Shark on a jig at the Lighthouse. The diverse range of fish kept the Maryland anglers intrigued and excited, making it a memorable fishing experience.

Captain Fernando Noyola and Mate Marcelo, running the 28-foot Uniflite, the “ANDREA,” caught two Maco sharks on bait at the Playita.
The “CALIENTE,” a 42-foot Cabo Flybridge, with Captain Jaime Gonzalez at the helm, caught and released two Striped Marlin (100 to 120 pounds) and one 15-pound Dorado on ballyhoo, offshore at the 1150 Spot. The calm seas and clear skies provided the perfect backdrop for anglers to reel in these impressive catches. Kudos to the crews and anglers for their skill and patience!
“TIBURON,” a 31-foot Bertram, with Captain Rosendo Gomez and Mate Mario, appears to have had an eventful fishing trip! They’ve demonstrated their expertise with three Grouper and three Ladyfish caught using half-chum at the Migriño. Reeling in a 41-pound Yellowtail with a spoon lure at Gaspareño added a fantastic highlight to the day. Jared Higginbotham, Megan Glass, and Trayson Scheender must have thoroughly enjoyed their time aboard, coming from Oregon for this adventure. It sounds like an exciting blend of teamwork and skill.
“LA BRISA,” a 31-foot Bertram under the guidance of Ray Winkler and Jesus Winkler, their anglers, Rob Lamb and Suzanne Lamb, caught two 15 and 18-pound Dorado and three Yellowfin Tuna up to 56 pounds outside the Cabo Real on lures and bait. The couple was delighted with their fishing day, and couldn’t have been happier with the size of their Tuna.

The “TIBURON,” a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Rosendo Gomez and Mate Mario, took their California client, Bill Langhoser, outside the 95 Spot where he caught two Yellowfin Tuna on bait.

“TRACY ANN,” a 31-foot Bertram with Captain Julio Castro and Mate TracyAnn Raul Leal running the cockpit, welcomed their guests Hayden Nixon and Maya Johel from California aboard, and it seems that good luck was with them that day. The Californians caught and released one 100-pound Striped Marlin on a caballito, one 20-pound Dorado on a lure (mango with chili), and one large 63-pound Wahoo (mango with chili), all at the 1150 Spot.
